CRAZY STUFF HAPPENS WHEN YOU ALIGN

Ever been in situations where everything seems to work out for you? It is sort of happening for me right now. I don’t want to jinx it but still feel like sharing! My reality at the moment feels as if I am truly aligned with the universe. I have decided to enjoy the ride of this wave going up, up while it is here. I am not looking too much at why it is happening although I know that the combination of presence, trusting life, feeling grateful for about everything, and not having any negative reactions to anything in particular, is very helpful.

Here are some examples of what has been happening in the last few weeks that sort of blows my mind:

  • I am planning a longer trip later this year with my children and we decide on dates and book the flights. Our dog Mika will not be coming along and so I think (know) that I will find a solution. I don’t start looking. A couple of days after that everything is planned, a friend and former neighbour in London sends me a message saying she is happy to come look after Mika if needed. I mean, what?? How could she know, how is this possible? Her message comes as served on a silver plate and it is simply incredible.
  • In December some friends suggested we go skiing for a day at a ski resort situated less than two hours away from where we live. I haven’t done any alpine skiing for the past 13 years so I got super excited. We ended up not going in December. And then, last week, I get invited by the same friends to go skiing in an amazing ski resort in the French Alps for four nights – staying in a chalet on the slopes. Can you tell I am over-excited? I don’t understand how this is happening – don’t need to – but I feel so lucky.
  • Last week I booked a session at the dog groomer for my dog. I said yes to the appointment although they told me their drying equipment was not working. That means Mika will be all wet when I collect him. This Monday it started bothering me, because a wet dog after grooming, how will his fur look then? And then the groomer called me last night, apologising for calling so late, but please could we change the appointment to one day later, as then their drying equipment would be functioning again? (??)
  • I have ordered a few items online for my upcoming ski trip and then realise I might not be home the day the delivery is taking place. I live in an apartment which means the driver won’t be able to leave the package outside my door. Amazingly things are turning out well: This morning I received an email saying they are sorry to not be able to deliver today. They hope I don’t mind that delivery will take place tomorrow instead… Oh, come on, that’s the day I am home!

I believe that the whole is always good. The whole, meaning life and all the situations in our life, is working out for our best. We don’t know exactly how, and how could we? Each of our lives are like big puzzles and we can’t see the full picture. We need so-called good things and so-called bad things to happen in order to experience the fullness of life. I see it like this: I know that all the challenging situations and emotional pain I have experienced have been necessary to open my eyes to all the amazing things that also take place, all the time. Challenging times help us grow and come more into presence when we allow ourselves to see life as happening for us, instead of to us.
