EIGHT-WEEK MINDFULNESS COURSE

Mindfulness meditation involves consciously bringing your awareness to your thoughts and feelings, without making judgments about them. It is a very simple form of meditation where you simply focus on your breath coming in and going out of your body, and bringing your awareness to your experience, moment by moment. You come to realise that thoughts come and go, as do feelings. This realisation can be very helpful and freeing, as it creates space to make more considered decisions about how to respond to various events in your life.

Scientific research has shown that you change structures in your brain after an eight-week course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). This is a program for anyone who would like to live more fully in the moment and cultivate their own well-being.

The course is spread over eight weeks to provide enough time to develop your own mindfulness practice. Please note it is best learnt when you are in a relatively good frame of mind! Your practice, both in the sessions and at home, represents the most important part of the learning process.

New eight-week evening course starting up on Monday 10th September 2018, 7pm-8.30pm, at Physio & Pilates Central in Wimbledon Village.

 

 

ON-GOING WEEKLY MINDFULNESS SESSIONS

Come and join me for a one-hour session every Monday at 2.30pm at my home where we sit together and meditate. In addition to guided meditations, there will be discussions about the foundations of mindfulness practice and how to cultivate awareness.

No previous experience in mindfulness meditation is needed to come to these sessions. This is an opportunity to share experiences after a guided meditation, as well as support and connect with each other.

The overall aim is to offer a space to Pause and Breathe.
