WHOLENESS WITH YOGA

Yoga is so much more than the physical postures and movements we do on the mat. If you have practised for some time this may be old news to you. If you are just starting out you may be more into the physical aspects for now – which is totally okay!

As you practise you evolve. Through more ease of circulation flow in the body, improved physical alignment and balance, and also awareness of your breathing, you transform. You are, through the postures on the yoga mat, providing health and vitality to your body. You are unblocking where there have been blocks and giving aliveness to all your cells. You are tapping in to the incredible wisdom of the body and allowing health to run freely through your whole body. And very importantly, you are connecting head and body.  You are coming back to how you started when you were born: To wholeness.

I often feel surprised of how happy I feel after a practice. There is so much lightness and joy in me after that I have moved on the mat and rested in savasana. It feels as if I arrive at a place where life is as it is supposed to be. There is less seriousness and more effortlessness. I guess it feels that way because the practice links everything together. Body, breath and mind all tuned in to one.

So I’d say, if you can’t go outside and do the things you used to do, go within with yoga practice! There is a whole universe within you and so much to explore. Yoga might not be the answer to everything but it is an answer to A LOT. Wishing you curiosity, kindness and amazement in your practice X
